Dr. Ahern Heads Ohio’s Community Mercy Hospice Services

For those not familiar with him, Dr. J. Kevin Ahern has a long history of service to the Clark and Champaign County communities.

He currently serves as the Medical Director for Ohio’s Community Mercy Hospice and was formerly the Chief of Staff for Springfield Regional Medical Center. He graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College 0f Medicine in 1988 and has served the Clark and Champaign county communities since completing his residency.

Dr. Ahern is board certified both in Family Medicine, Hospice and Palliative care, in Hospital Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine, and also holds a degree in Pharmacy.

Of his work with Ohio’s Community Mercy Hospice, Dr. Ahern says “ I am honored to care for our patients and families at such a critical time in their lives. I feel privileged to be affiliated with an organization that has such a long history of providing excellent patient care.”

Dr. Ahern provides a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and heart to hospice patients and their families.
